Craving something sweet but don’t want to sacrifice health? These Grain-Free Chocolate Protein Donuts are just the thing! Made with steamed sweet potatoes, raw almond butter, and maple syrup, this recipe incorporates simple, natural ingredients that won’t bog down your digestive system. ProGlow’s Strong + Youthful chocolate protein is the icing on the cake (or donut)! Our Strong + Youthful protein is paleo-friendly, gluten-free, non-GMO and collagen-based. An essential structural protein, collagen improves skin elasticity, joint health, muscle strength and digestion. Packed with all this goodness, these chocolate donuts can be enjoyed without worry!


  • 2 large sweet potato steamed + mashed (skin removed), about 3 cups
  • 2 cup raw almond butter
  • ½ cup ProGlow Strong + Youthful Chocolate Protein
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or raw honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup dairy free chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 
  2. In a large bowl, mix together mashed sweet potato, almond butter, protein powder, maple syrup, egg and baking soda
  3. Fold chocolate chips
  4. Spoon into a greased donut pan and press down so that the rings are packed and top is smooth
  5. Place in the oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes (until the dough is no longer soft or toothpick comes out clean)
  6. Remove donuts from oven and let cool
  7. Drizzle with melted chocolate chips (if desired) 
  8. Enjoy!
